Haven't seen anyone discussing this yet: http://wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/iw/20060804a

So help me, Dragon Magic actually sounds pretty good to me. I could definitely see combining this with Races of the Dragon for wacky kobold fun. Now, if only I can find a DM up for that ...
On the WotC Eberron forums, I noted that this would make a great resource for a campaign set on the continent of Argonnessen. I've often contemplated a homebrew campaign setting that had dragons as benign and malevolent rulers of nations of lesser races and neghboring nations of demi-humans or something to that effect. I imagined using Draconomicon, Races of the Dragon and now Dragon Magic, too. This setting would have a home for Gem Dragons and psionics and would use the dragon pantheon as the only gods in the world. Planar dragons and cuaotl would also be present.

Additionally, after delving into the Eberron campaign setting, I felt that the idea of the three dragons (Siberys, Eberron, and Khyber), with constellations for each of the dragon deities and a draconic prophecy, would make a fine addition to this campaign setting.

You know, those books would also make for a great update to the Council of Wyrms.
Hmm. I had heard of that setting only once before, but I didn't realize how closely it resembled what I'd like to see as a setting. Very interesting.

Did CoW have similar content as found in Races of the Dragon, too?

Aren't you the same guy that when talking about the Book of Nine Swords said ...
This sounds like something I don't want anywhere near my more traditionalist game.

I could be mistaken but most 'tradionalist' games don't have a lot of 'wacky kobold fun' either. ;)

Dragon Magic and Faiths of Eberron are both books I'll be looking forward to, but it's the minis preview that really got my attention. I'd love to have a marilith. The Ice Devil is pretty nifty too.

Well Dragon Magic has got my interest now, was going to pass over that one, but it sounds very interesting. Dragons of Faerun is a must buy as is Ravenloft.

And while the Marilith's sculpt doesn't impress me, that Ice Devil is fantastic, I'd love a couple of those.

Dragon magic sounds interesting. Something I might buy when I've got some coin loose and no other ways to spend it.

There isn't really much info on Tome of Battle, but I guess I'm already sold on that one anyway.

The only other thing that interests me of those collected here are the minis. I'm indiferent to the kobold and the Marilith is frickin ugly, but I'd love to have a squad of those Ice Devils. That's one cool (pun sadly intended) mini.

Yes, but wacky kobold fun trumps all other considerations! :p

Quoted for absolute truth.

Ah, the Blood Wars. So does this mean more minis for my up-and-coming Planescape campaign? Fun fun. However, this means I'm falling far behind on filling the gaps in my minis collection.

I'm really looking forward to the Castle Ravenloft adventure. I missed out on the original. Maaaybe this will come close to it in fun?

Faiths of Eberron also looks nice. I've been pleased with every Eberron book I've purchased so far.

Also, they plugged the new D&D basic box set. I thought they were not going to come out with the new version? I didn't read all the posts in the latest 4E thread, but I know this boxed set was discussed.
