Avalanche Press stops using d20 license

The only "bias" ENWorld had was a few posters like Arcady who wouldn't give their covers a rest.

That being the case, it doesn't surprise me that they were the first to bolt.
I have several Avalanche books, and while I must confess that the cheesecake did catch my eye (I'm a healthy male, so sue me! ;) ) it was the content that made me plunk my money down. I found it to be something of a house joke, actually.

In fact, when Celtic Age came out, I (and my wife  ) were a little dismayed by the Celtic knotwork cover ("Hey!" we said in unison. "Where's the luscious red-headed Celtic babe?"). However, Viking Age provides a nice, luscious Nordic babe... :D

It'll be interesting to see how their effort goes.

I didn't hate their books and own several but they were low quality. Terrible interior layout, terrible interior art, terrible stat blocks and good research do not a good source book make.
