Hmm...Arcana Evolved sounds good to me. Gives me a new book for my PHB/DMG for the world and then I'll be able to pass around the original AU book with my players so they can look up spells and such.

Legacy of Dragons, Beyond Countless Doors, still need a 2nd printing of Mutants & Masterminds.

I know there's more stuff in teh wings I'm waiting for but I can't remember it all right now. Oh yeah, I still need all the d20 Trinity Universe stuff too.

Well, I can cross two more off my list.

Arms & Armor 3.5: It's okay but the lack of full color artwork, some of the new artwork being rather 'blah', and some copying of material that's fairly recent, put this one down to a 3-3.5 rating for me.

Blackmoor: Another book where I was waiting for it with baited breath and haven't had a chance to really do more than glance though it, but the art ranges from great to bad, which is bad when we have books by people like Red Spire Press using Adrian to get totally fantastic visuals.
Judge not a book by the color or quality of its art, but by the content of its pages. Of course, this means taking the time to actually read a significant amount before casting judgment. As a reviewer, I would think you should understand this.

There definatly needs to be more word out on this. I like to think that I'm one of the more informed consumers of product out here and this one was completely off my radar.
Well, I announced it was forthcoming in April. And as I post this only 208 people read that thread.

I kept the announcement low-key because I knew Frank (Ashanderai) would not finish the manuscript until year end (if he finishes it by then). It is well researched and I can't wait to see the final manuscript. I'm only committed to a PDF release but if it proves popular it may become my first print release (for which I'll acquire an existing print partner). But until I have a manuscript, I cannot guess as to when it might be released. (Not that I'm normally good with release dates but that's because of my writing schedule not my editing/layout/etc scheduling.)

As for the Blue Devil's thread, there was a small contractual misunderstanding that (I hope) has been cleared up.

If you think that layout, design, and art have no impact on a book, you should quit smoking that herb man. Just give it up. No, seriously. For me, as more and more d20 books come out, those are some of the most crucial elements. Art plays a tremendous amout of utility, especially in an updated book.

I have some other issues with it. I like the fact that scions are here for example, but it looks like you snagged the two weapons from the Unearthed Arcana book, which is lame because if people already have Unearthed Arcana, they're going to know about the scions in the first place. Better bet would've been something from the Game Mechanics book. On page 18 they'se some typo about Complete Book cutting into another items listing. Few other issues.

As far as being a reviewer, come on man, this is an unpaid gig. Just like any fan, I can shoot for the hip with the best of them.

GURPS Fantasy, GURPS Infinie Earths, GURPS Banestorm, GURPS Ultra-tech, and whatever else SJG plans on publishing.

If the GURPS books continue to follow the style of the new GURPS ruleset, then I'm sold on GURPS Fantasy and GURPS Ultra-Tech. I'm really hoping that this version of GURPS Fantasy is as good as GURPS Space was. That David Pulver can write!
