B09S displaced Fey-book or Giant-book

So I was listening to Show #7 on GLEEMAX and they interviewed Chris Perkins.

It appears they do have a "Fey Book" and a "Giant Book" planned, but they got bumped so they could fit in Tome of Battle. Apparently, if a book theme is so awesome and there's no time slot for it, they'll actually replace something else they had planned with the totally awesome book.

It sucks that we have to now wait that much longer for a Fey-book and Giant-book (two creature types I've been longing to see them do) but Tome of Battle was really awesome so I'm not

It makes you wonder what else got bumped for some other book that a lot of us have been wanting to see? :(

There is plenty of great fey books from other companies so we really don't need Wizards to do a fey book though I'm interested to see what they do. Giants could be interesting.

Yeah but I'd rather have a "core" D&D fey-book as opposed to a generalized one from a 3rdf party publisher. I'd like to see how WotC handles a Feynomicon.

I have to say I really enjoyed the interview with Chris Perkins in terms of the process from concept to bookshelf of a D&D book. Very informative.

I'm not sure the fey book and the giant book he mentioned were real projects or just examples of the types of things that may have gotten bumped. I could be wrong though.

Well Gamer Zero asked him what book got misplaced and he said it was either a "Fey book" or a "Giant book"

I would have thought getting Tome of Horrors would knock this silly attitude out of you.

I'd have to disagree for one specific reason.

There are a significant number of gamers who use ZERO 3rd party product- I'm in a gaming group with several of them- so unless a product comes from WotC, its useless to me as a player.

As a DM, though, if its good, I'll use it.

With the quality of some of the other fey books I would not call them generalized. It is actually Wizard that seems to make things a bit more general to fit into the many aspects of D&D.

Well I read that one Fey book that everyone talks about...it was meh. It wasn't what I was looking for.

So, I did give it a try :p
