Hi guys,

The latest Babylon 5 supplement is out in your local stores now - Wheel of Fire, written by Lizard, covers the fifth season (Earth Year 2262) of the Babylon 5 TV series and is the culmination of all the efforts of the original heroes of the diplomatic station.

The book kicks off with a look at the Personalities of 2262, the major characters featured in the series. Each has been updated with new stats to reflect their growing experience and plenty of notes are provided for roleplaying them should they appear in your scenarios. All the usual suspects are here, from President Sheridan to Vir (who has now reached a lofty 7th level from his debut in 2258!), and there are a couple of new faces as well - Captain Elizabeth Lochley and Byron.

The Galaxy of 2262 covers each episode in exquisite detail, as well as setting in within the context of the universe at large, thus providing a Games Master with a complete timeline that serves as a backdrop to his own campaign. In addition, individual episodes also zero in on some of the important aspects of Babylon 5 not covered elsewhere, such as the Evacuation Protocol of the station, minor characters (including Bo and Mack!), the core principles of Byronism, the effects of hunger on telepathy, Rebo and Zooty (have Penn and Teller been stated in an RPG before?), the Day of the Dead and much more.

There are plenty of new Rules Additions to cover the year 2262, with many centred around telepaths. These include death bed scans, psychometry and multiple personalities. Mundane characers can mess around with artifical organs and transplants if seriously injured, new rules for investigations (CSI: Babylon 5), flying in asteroid fields and the Bodyguard and Media Star prestige classes. Rules have also been provided for Keepers and running characters who develop a Cult of Personality.

Finally, Equipment and Vehicles brings new spacecraft to the universe, such as the uprated Enphili Raiders and Va'Nial fighters, as well as long range survey ships and the ships that attacked Babylon 5 in A View From the Gallery. Characters can now also try to comprehend the message behind the Book of G'Kar. . .

Wheel of Fire is priced at $24.95 and is available right now in your local games stores and book shops.

A very good book and a welcome addition to my collection. You guys have done an amazing job with the B5 license. Keep it up and you will continue to have many very happy B5 fans! This is the first time since the original series where any aspect of the franchise has not come across as totally cursed.
