Monsters don't get extra natural weapon attacks based on their BAB, and if I remember correctly, BAB gained from HD doesn't stop at 20 HD the way BAB gained from class levels do.

Page 7, ELH. A Titan with a BAB of +21 is still limited to four attacks with that weapon, no matter how high his BAB gets. Not sure if that answers your question though.

The Epic rules for BAB only apply to 21+ character levels. Monsters gain BAB through HD, that follows different rules as mapped out in the MM.

Yeppers- also mapped out in the ELH, page 7, at the bottom:

"This limit doesn't apply to the basae attack bonus derived from a monster's Hit Dice." And then it states the sentence that was quoted above (the titan example)...

Hm, I wonder if that means I can advance my character as a humanoid with advanced HD when I gain a level in order to get that crucial extra BAB point that brings me up to 4 attacks a round...

(personally, I think that they could have done the epic bab stuff so much easier...double standards always lead to some sort of wackiness)

Now that is a legite way around it as far as I can tell. You'd have to do it twice becasue they get BAB as a cleric so the first time you'd get +0. So, instead of taking two levels in a class and getting all of that, this is what you'd get for that critical +1BAB.

+1 BAB
+2d8 HP
+3 to some saving throws (it's varible, but for human I'd say you get Fort)
+2 skill points
no feats, no attribute bonuses.

Now, you are effectively 2 levels behind, but you do have that extra attack. I'd allow this. :)
