Babies and Wet-Nurses: A Conversation

OOC- I thought the timeline worked out so that Archon had only been with the group a month before he and Jaine had their interlude. Plus, even if they give birth at the same time, Jaine's going pre-mature. So if Dara had a full term pregnancy, even if there was a 2 month difference, they could still give birth at the same time.
The last time Dara and your Archonus were together would have been before he was given his first solo mission as a Talon Justice (which was to hunt down and capture Jaine, and return her to Caer Albion to stand trial for her rebellious ways).

It took him at least 6 weeks just to find what aliases she was using, and what part of the vast Falcon Kingdom she was hiding in. It would have been another week before he got close enough to actually make a capture. And then, when he finally did find her, he decided not to capture her after all. That's 7 weeks (at least) from when he last saw Dara (and remember that they probably didn't break up while participating in an act that could produce a child) before he joined the group that has become the Circle of the Phoenix.

From that 7 weeks, it was another three/three and a half before the confrontation in Oceanus, bringing it to a 10 week gap. That's 2.5 months difference, on the conservative end - and she was merrily hopping across the roofs of Oceanus during a draconid invasion at about the time that she would have just begun really feeling (and showing) her pregnancy.

Much more likely, she became pregnant sometime around the invasion of Oceanus (based on her current appearance). Based on what AA knows (she returned to the North after his rejection of her, and the rejection of the Tower of the Red) it would had to have either been 1) some random guy that she doinked on the way back north 2) someone *in* the north or 3) something else a great deal less obvious (and accordingly less plausible).

She might give birth to a child at 7.5 months that MIGHT live. But she wouldn't look as pregnant as she does (which is, of course, nothing compared to how pregnant Jaine looks. But then, she's got 2).

But IN-character, I still think it's an option we need to consider, as the inticracies of childbirthing terms are not that well known. OOC- I'm pretty sure AB is the father. IC-We have no reason to believe that's true. And I think we should play it out accordingly. Especially if the kid is born with the mark.

Xath seems to collect herself. "I agree, Justice. Some questions need to be answered." She turns to Archon. "It couldn't hurt just to be sure."

Archon straightens his back and regains his posture, acting as the noble he should be. With cool detachment he looks to the circle and replies,
"Alright. Send for her. Let's get this over with."
Then he turns from the group to stare out the window.

HA! Perfect!

Xath stands and moves towards the door. "I will find her."
Several minutes pass in uncomfortable silence. Suddenly, without warning, Xath strides through the closed doors of your impromptu council chambers with a tall, pale woman with an obviously swollen belly gingerly matching her step behind her.

This woman's eyes are a striking blue, but there seems to be little behind them. She stares emptily at nothing, placidly awaiting whatever will come.

Just reading this so catching up

At Archonus' words of seeing Dara in Oceanus a gasp comes from L'Aurel as she glances between Kareth and Archonus. Luckily the others are engrossed on Lord Arrendor's words and movements.

As Xath moves to leave, L'Aurel speaks for the first time quitely questioning, "Would you bring Lady Goldenblades child into battle with us as well? Or are we to ask her to leave her child behind, while she sees to this one?"

Edit: Nevermind she's here
