babylon 5 starships and Dragonstar

is it possible to use the starship construction rules from Dragonstar (if such exist) to make ships for the Babylon 5 game?

As far as I know, they use the same system. And there are starship construction rules. I believe they are in the "Imperial Supply" book.

Would Traveller (T20) suit this gentleman's needs in place of Star Wars d20?

(Although I heard a rumor that T20 is currently out of print. True--Y/N?)

T20 is great if you're into hard sci-fi, that's opposite the spectrum of "space opera fantasy" that Star Wars is known for.

BTW, they're reprinting the book with correction and new material. See www.travellerrpg.com
Ahh, yes, thanks--I stand (err, sit?) corrected re: "hard sci".

And thanks for the T20 update--corrections & new material = good, errors and regurgitation = bad (nudge nudge, WotC, wink, wink).

My Review of the Babylon 5 Roleplaying Game and Fact Book

I gave it a 3/5. It is good, has potential, but also has problems. I would also suggest going to the Mongoose Message Boards -- I have vented a lot of my frustrations with this game there as well.

Everything from incomplete to incoherant rules; lack of good editing and so forth. Still, it is a very well done piece of work. It just happens to interpret a lot of things vastly different than I would have.
