Hi guys,

The latest addition to the popular Babylon 5 RPG range will be appearing in your local stores next week - the long-awaited Galactic Guide. Written by Lizard, this is the mighty resource that attempts to plot every world of the B5 galactic map in an effort to provide GMs with a wealth of new locations for their scenarios.

The first thing you will notice upon opening the covers is an all new full colour galactic map as things stand in 2262 - and plenty has changed as Babylon 5 declares independence and the Narn/Centauri borders fluctuate.

The first two chapters detail the process of world building, giving GMs the ability to create their own planets according to a set and easy to work system. These go on to form a short stat block used throughout the Galactic Guide allowing you to judge the contents of an entire system at a glance. Everything from the number of planets orbiting the sun(s) to jump gate ownership and the technological level of the main inhabitants is available to tweak.

The bulk of the book is taken up with the Galactic Gazetteer, which covers _every_ system listed on the galactic map, giving you plenty of room to set new scenarios. Divided by governments, every world from the Abbai Matriarchy to the Yolu Theocracy is detailed. Even the worlds of the Dilgar are covered. . .

The next sizeable chapter deals with Travelling throughout the galaxy. This includes navigating in realspace, rules for 'chases' between vessels, and an aadvanced look at hyperspace travel, together with more detailed rules for travelling off beacon and some of the strange things that lie in this realm, waiting for discovery. Rules are also provided for chartering commercial flights, buying tickets, security on board liners and hazards that all space travellers risk. For those lucky enough to own their own ships, there are new things to worry about, such as registration costs, flight plans, manifests, smuggling and security searches.

The Rules Appendix provides detailed guidelines for using encounter suits and other life-saving equipment, asteroid belts, new environments and performing the 'gravity dive'.

The Babylon 5 Galactic Guide is priced at $34.95 and will be appearing in your local store next week.
