It's interesting hearing about other gamers with children and how they become involved in gaming.
This last week also made me realize some of the other differences from the average american family . . .
My two-and-a-half year old played her first board game.
Whas it Candyland? Chutes and Ladders? Any of the other 'normal' kiddie games?
Nope.
It was the Lord of the Rings boardgame.
No, she didn't make all the decisions herself and we played 'open hand' so we could help her. But she organized her own cards, rolled the dice, picked the chits. And had incredible beginner's luck (We had our highest scoring game yet.)
