Bandwidth vs. Broadband?

I'm curious about the markup of this EN World community and how they access the web site and forum.

I've been on Time Warner's Road Runner cable broadband for about seven years now.

We have SBC DSL and I really hate it. I used to have a cable modem. It was faster and much more reliable. The DSL goes down and their customer service is crap.

At work (where I make most of my posts) I have high-speed cable broadband. At home I currently have dial-up. We will probably change to broadband at home in the next couple of months. Even still it won't be anywhere near as fast as the connection at work.
