I saw a thread on the front page that was recently necro'd ...

What was the reason for Demihuman level and class limits in AD&D?

Does anyone know why? The only thing I could think of was that Gygax and Co. wanted to make a human-centric world, and simply made a game mechanic which limited the power demihumans could achieve. Thx

And I noticed something new? Not just the usual cross-out of the name, but an actual tag that replaced the legend with "Banned" and also added a red tag (where "supporter" or "staff member" would go) that also said Banned.

Is this something recently changed, and if so, are there other recent small changes?

So no, banned people are not getting that tag overall.

So apparently it's not new functionality, but something that specifically happened, probably.

(Gotta say, that red tag is impressive... might not want to incentivize troublemakers like DEREK!!!, aka TwoSix, to try and get it.)

So apparently it's not new functionality, but something that specifically happened, probably.

Looking at few more cases, it looks like there are multiple people with the "banned" status who were all booted when the board was still on vBulletin, but none that I can find since the switch to Xenforo (2019). I'm guessing this is just an artifact of that software upgrade.
