D&D 5E Barbarian/Rogue build

Barbarian gets Reckless Attack at level 2 (attacks with a STR based weapon get advantage; attacks made against you have advantage).

Rogues get Sneak Attack on any attacks made with advantage, must use a finesse weapon. Note: you can use your STR when attacking with a finesse weapon.

I'd suggest Half Orc and Assassin for more damage.

You can try that build, but it is awkward. Rogue loses too much by going Strength. Remember Rogue can use his sneak attack anyway if there is another ally close by, and that is almost 100% of the time in a party.
