Level Up (A5E) Bard - Battle Hymn - Harmony of Pain Question

"Harmony of Pain. The creature gains a number of temporary hit points equal to your Bardic Inspiration."

Where the above says "Bardic Inspiration", does it mean the maximum uses of BI, the current unexpended uses of BI, or perhaps the BI die is rolled to determine the number of temp HP gained by the creature?
