D&D 5E Bards and perform

I would be against this. It is essentially using the Bardic Inspiration without spending the resource. I get that there is a difference between the extra die added and rolling with advantage. Lockpicking is something that I would generally say you can't assist someone with anyway, since it is tends to be a one person job. Yes music does help people focus on tasks and I would allow the bard to play music to assist the lockpicking by letting the bard give out his bardic inspiration.
