Barnes & Noble's D&D Online Course

Regardless of whether they're making money from selling the textbooks, it's a great idea for all parties involved. It's great advertising, and may be a great venue to bring in new players. Even if theyre not making a lot of money off the texts, I wouldn't be surpirsed to hear that WotC is subsidizing the cost of the class, for the advertising and the potential for new players alone.

I wonder how many people will just use this as an excuse for a bitchfest?
 






I can see it now - an entire class filled with the best D&D minds that the world has to offer, and just a couple of actual beginners. I hope that the long-timers have the good manners to NOT ask oddball expert-level rules questions, comment on the system being terrible etc, and actually help those beginners who sign up.
