Base Save Requirements for PrCs

Some Prestige Classes have base save requirements. If a character takes a feat like Great Fortitude (+2 to fort saves), Iron Will (+2 to will saves) or Lightning Reflexes (+2 to reflex saves) does it say anywhere in the rules, advice or faq that this helps meet the base save requirement for a PrC?

Thanks in advance!

Those feats add to a save, just like an ability score.

They are not the base save.

Yes, that's my interpretation too. Weapon Focus adds +1 to attacks, but I've never heard of that satisfying a BAB PrC requirement.

Thanks,

A base save bonus is that which is derived from classes. Anything else is a bonus (or for those unlucky ones, a penalty).

Thanks for weighing in too, James.

The reason for this, of course, is simple- if they require your base save (that is, save bonuses that can ONLY be derived from class levels), they can limit the level at which you can access the PrC, without forcing you to spend feats and skill points and such in an unnecessary manner. In other words, you're more free to make your character how you want to make them, but they can still make sure you can't access the class before a certain level.
