Except you only have stats for medium weapons.

PHB p. 220, "Weapons and Size," tells you how to get the stats for weapons of other than medium size.

Large-size weapons do exist, but only for the purposes of oversized PCs (bugbears).

Have bugbears gotten an official write up in Dragon yet?

Nice find dan'l, I 've been looking for the officialdom answer. Good answer IMO, just cut all that oversized weps right out of the game (oh the oversized wep cheese in 3E!)

Thus, you'll see things like giving monsters oversized weapons and not giving them to official PC races. As others have pointed out, oversized weapons in PC hands are simply too good. It makes those races strictly better with weapons. If a PC race somehow gets it, expect it to be errata'd as soon as I see it.
