[Bastion Press] Minions - Rebirth and a question (or two)...

The Sigil

RAVE: Sweet! An honest-to-goodness PDF of a VERY nice d20 product! I am delighted to see this. *applauds so hard his hands get sore* Seriously, I think this is a fantastic move - I really hope to see more companies put out copies of their work in PDF (after print sales slow down considerably, which I imagine has happened here) - while both formats have their virtues, I really do find PDF exceedingly useful, perhaps slightly moreso than print (sure saves on bookshelf space and it means if I want to use OGC, I don't have to re-type it myself).

QUESTION: So, Jim, how long before we see PDFs of Arms & Armor, Spells & Magic, Alchemy & Herbalists, et al? Will these also be approximately one year from their original release date?

My plan has been to wait between 10 and 12 months before releasing the PDF version of our print products. Some products, like Arms & Armor, have longer sales cycles, so you'll probably have to wait a few more months for that release.

In addition, the sales cycle for gaming products (once pegged at 90 days) is diminishing to 45-60. That will also have an effect of shortening the amount of time between the print release of a product and its PDF re-release.

Releasing them as PDFs lets us input all the errata we've uncovered, redo artwork and borders, and do other things we wish we'd have gotten right the first time around. ;-)
