Wild Imaginary West RPG with Boylei Hobby Time.png

Wild Imaginary West RPG // with Boylei Hobby Time from Rune Foundry
  • END DATE: Thu, October 10 2024 9:59 AM EDT.
  • SYSTEM(S): An original system
  • PROJECT TYPE: Core rulebook
  • MOST POPULAR PLEDGE: $99 + S/H for the PDF and print of the books plus a boxed set and miniatures
  • WHY SPOTLIGHT THIS CAMPAIGN? This game is set in the wild mech west, a world of cowboys, giant robots, and hunting monsters. The idea for this world is born of the crafts that Youtuber Boylei Hobby Time creates. Boylei’s world and works offer this amazing world of Old West towns, trains, sci-fi gizmos, creatures, and gunslingers. The quality of the miniatures and dioramas is inspiring, and I see why the creator designed this TTRPG to go with the beautiful work showcased in those videos. If this Kickstarter interests you, check out the campaign page for a free PDF preview.

Dark Dice- Unnatural Horrors for 5th Edition.png

Dark Dice: Unnatural Horrors for 5th Edition from Dark Dice Adventures, Fool & Scholar Productions, and Nord Games
  • END DATE: Fri, October 11 2024 2:00 AM EDT.

  • PROJECT TYPE: Sourcebook
  • MOST POPULAR PLEDGE: $80 + S/H for the PDF and print versions of the book, soundtrack, and battlemaps
  • WHY SPOTLIGHT THIS CAMPAIGN? This project expands the existing Unnatural Horrors omnibus to 275 pages. The book includes a horror adventure, nightmare campaign setting, 40 fiends, 30 magic items, and more, all designed for both the 2014 and 2024 versions of 5e. For players, there’s a necromancer class, an undead species to play, and a d100 critical hit chart for lethal attacks. Plus worldbuilding options that will make any 5e campaign a bit more terrifying. With Halloween around the corner, this promises an early access PDF if you’re wanting to add thematic elements to your adventures. If a dark campaign setting and sourcebook appeal to you, check out the campaign page for more details.

Tome of Worldbuilding.png

Tome of Worldbuilding from Mythmere Games
  • END DATE: Tue, October 15 2024 11:56 AM EDT.
  • SYSTEM(S): System neutral
  • PROJECT TYPE: Sourcebook
  • MOST POPULAR PLEDGE: $99 + S/H for PDF and print versions of both books
  • WHY SPOTLIGHT THIS CAMPAIGN? Matt Finch has two books in this campaign, both providing system neutral GM guidance. The first, The Tome of World Building, details how to create a fantasy world including maps, nations, wilderness, history, and more. The second, The Nomicon, is all about naming people, places, and things using random charts. If you want design advice from the creator behind Swords & Wizardry and more, check out this campaign.

Pirates Den, Black Lotus, Lost City and Hidden Shrine 1E 5E.png

Pirates Den, Black Lotus, Lost City and Hidden Shrine 1E 5E from Dark Wizard Games
  • END DATE: Wed, October 9 2024 9:02 AM EDT.
  • SYSTEM(S): Dungeons & Dragons First Edition and Fifth Edition or OSRIC
  • PROJECT TYPE: Adventures
  • MOST POPULAR PLEDGE: $85 + S/H for the four PDFs and softcovers of the adventures: #12: Pirates of the Serpents Den for levels 4 to 8, #13 Temple of the Black Lotus for levels 4 to 8 (1e) and 4 to 7 (5e), #14 Forgotten City of the Spider Goddess for levels 4 to 8 (1e) and 6 to 10 (5e), and #15 Hidden Shrine of the Warlord Chief for levels 1 to 3 as well as additional PDFs
  • WHY SPOTLIGHT THIS CAMPAIGN? This campaign offers a list products for AD&D and Fifth Edition. From the Maximum Mayhem Dungeons series, you can get adventures #12 to #15. What makes these adventures interesting is the attention to detail. Instead of just stat block overhauls as these adventures move from 1e to 5e, Dark Wizard Games goes the distance with fully revised artwork and writing that brings the content closer to the design standards of each system’s products. 1e maps are blue and the cover’s art and layout are closer to AD&D modules of the era, 5e maps are colored for VTT and have cover art that fits nicely into today’s art expectations. If you are interested in some intentionally duel-system adventures, check out the campaign page for several previews.

Zombie Road TTRPG.png

Zombie Road TTRPG by Dragonmount Press
  • END DATE: 10/9/2024, 5:00:00 PM
  • CROWDFUNDING ON: Gamefound
  • SYSTEM(S): An original system
  • PROJECT TYPE: Core rulebook
  • MOST POPULAR PLEDGE: €55 + S/H for the PDF and print versions of the book
  • WHY SPOTLIGHT THIS CAMPAIGN? This TTRPG features a zombie apocalypse in which your character is you. Set in your neck of the woods, this game considers how you, or at least a character version of you, would fair as the zombie hordes lurked outside. Full disclosure: Egg wouldn’t make it. Egg ain’t living in no world without no toilet paper. Just saying. But, fortunately you’re not Egg, and you can make it. Using a d6 system, you’ll face challenges and have solutions you can pull from the literal world around you, the world that you live in. This is going to appeal to gamers that believe they’re smarter and more able than the standard horror movie character. If you’re interested in simulating how you’d fare in the zombie apocalypse, check out this Gamefound campaign page.

  • WHY SPOTLIGHT THIS CAMPAIGN? Every month, Icarus Games produces a zine of content for the 5e gaming system. For the third year in a row, they’re combining all of that content into a hardcover. This 148-page book offers locations, monsters, player options, NPCs, factions, and articles about worldbuilding and GM advice. Modeled on the content of yester-year, this book combines the excitement of those articles of old with the 5e system. If you’re a fan of TTRPG magazines, this campaign offers you a full year’s worth in one book.

Gaslight Victorian Fantasy Revised and Expanded for 5E.png

Gaslight Victorian Fantasy Revised and Expanded for 5E from Battlefield Press
  • END DATE: Oct 16, 2024 at 2:59am EDT.
  • CROWDFUNDING ON: Backerkit
  • SYSTEM(S): Dungeons & Dragons Fifth Edition
  • PROJECT TYPE: Sourcebook
  • MOST POPULAR PLEDGE: $20 for the PDF of the book
  • WHY SPOTLIGHT THIS CAMPAIGN? After the passing of Battlefield Press co-founder, Jonathan Thompson, his brother, Adam, kept the company alive as both a tribute to his sibling and the fans of their titles. Battlefield Press is redefining who they are as a company, building on the legacy of Jonathan’s output. With Gaslight Victorian, the team completes one of Jonathan’s final projects, a revision and expansion of their supernatural 1800s setting. This game is inspired by classics such as J.M. Barrie’s Lost Boys, Dr. Moreau, and Dracula. The world is populated with monsters, magic, and majesty along the cobblestone streets of the 1800s. Rewritten from the Savage Worlds system for use with 5e 2014, this book promises a history, new rules including social standing options, secret organizations, and more for your adventures. Making roleplaying games is not an easy business. Adam’s efforts to get his brother’s work out there and continue his legacy are to be applauded. If you want to game in the late 1800s, check out this Backerkit campaign.
Split the Hoard- A competitive card game for 2-5 players.png

Split the Hoard: A competitive card game for 2-5 players from EN Publishing
  • END DATE: Thu, October 24 2024 5:00 PM EDT.
  • PROJECT TYPE: Competitive card game
  • MOST POPULAR PLEDGE: £15 + S/H for the PDF and print versions of the game
  • DISCLAIMER: EN World is a subsidiary of EN Publishing
  • WHY SPOTLIGHT THIS CAMPAIGN? This isn’t a TTRPG, but a card game. Because it’s from the parent company, I wanted to point it out to the world. This game builds on the idea of fantasy dungeon crawlers, focusing on the reason for the crawl, the treasure. How do you divide it up? Who gets what? This game pits players against players to determine who gets the best items from the hoard!

Is it really fair that I get to play myself and you guys have to play you?

I mean I got great stats, maximum in Int, Wis, Chr, and my Dex, Str, and Con are all near max. Plus does this game use Comliness? Cause that is also maxed out? I'm also a near master in every conceivable skill.

The whole reason I even play RPGs is to try and experience what it might be like to be a someone who has short comings.
