Bastion Press to attend Gen Con with Studio 2 Publishing

With the downtrend in the market, Bastion basically decided to be patient, take its time and put out books when they were ready (taking a page from the Privateer Press model). As a result, I think the quality is even better than it was before. Wildwood is the first result of that new order of business thinking. Lore of the Gods is another one that will hopefully be well received. So the short of it is that Bastion is still in the game, but just not trying to turn out X books a year. :)

Working for Bastion is very rewarding. I don't think i've ever enjoyed writing a submission as much as I did the Memory Lodes for MoA.

On the PDF topic, how long will it be before the pdf version of Alchemy and Herbalists is available?

We have the 3.5 update, so it is a matter of time to just work it into the existing document and release it. Since Jim is the only one who does layout, it will likely be later this Fall. Lore of the Gods is currently in final layout and then Castlemorn is up next followed by Oathbound Players Guide. We might squeeze A&H in before ObPG. ;)

Is that a subtle way of telling me that I'm editing too slow

Grumble Grumble....don't get to go to GenCon this year.....Grumble Grumble

*Grin* Better than I feared. I was half-afraid I's hear 'Oh, sometime in 2006, early quarter' or some such thing . Thanks Ghostwind. By the by, when is Oathbound Player's Guide due out again? <Yes, I'm fishing for the OB Grail's releases date..why, no, I -don't- have any shame..whyever do you ask? > :)

Oathbound Player's Guide will be sometime this Fall. I can't give you a definite date because it's still being edited and we have a bottleneck forming in the graphic design/layout department. ;)

Bastion Press will be continuing a trend established last year by offering a special Gen Con version of one title. This year we are presenting Wildwood in two distinct print formats that will not be available in retail stores. We will have a 254–page prestige format hardcover containing 32 pages of full-color art that will sell for $50.00 and a 254-page deluxe leatherette green foil-stamped hardcover that also contains 32 pages of full-color art. The deluxe version will be available for $75.00 each. Gamers who are unable to attend Gen Con may order the version with a leatherette cover directly from the Bastion Press online store after the convention has concluded.

Steve - are these available or did these sell out at the con? I don't see them mentioned anywhere on Bastion's site.

Neither. The printer did not deliver them to the con as promised nor has he returned our calls about when they will be printed. Until we actually have a copy in our hands, we won't post them to the website for sales. At this stage, all I can say is to be patient.
