D&D 5E Battle Master fun with off-turn actions

The tingling means it’s working!
Off-turn actions are a well-known vein for Char Op gold. I've been mining the Battle Master, and want to share some discoveries.

All Battle Master maneuvers trigger on the Battle Master's attack or (more often) hit, so I recommend going with Archery style for the +2 to hit.

Rogue's Best Friend: Commander's Strike lets you spend a maneuver die to use a bonus action to direct one of your companions to strike. That companion can use its reaction to make a weapon attack. Use this on your party rogue. Sneak Attack is usable "once per turn"; he probably used it on his turn, and now that it's your turn--a different turn--he can use it again.

Savior:: most environmental damage--such as from Wall of Fire, Moonbeam, Cloud of Daggers, Cloudkill, Sleet Storm, and such--use the language "When a creature enters the spell’s area for the first time on a turn or starts its turn there" as trigger for the environment's ill effects. In other words, the damage doesn't take place until the creature's turn. So if the enemy wizard drops a Cloudkill on your squishy healer, use Maneuvering Strike to allow him to move on your turn--to move out of the area, thereby avoiding the effect.

Come on! I'm right here!: Goading Attack combos well if your companions have Sentinel. When you hit a creature--ideally, with your bow from far away--you can spend a die to make the target roll a Will save. On a failed save, the target has disadvantage on all attacks against targets other than you. And if he does attack you, your Sentinel pals can use their reactions to hit him with off-turn attacks.

Speaking of which... Sentinel seems like a good feat for a rogue to pick up. Self-power that out-of-turn Sneak Attack. Hmm. It does require standing right next to monsters, but a single level of fighter, paladin, or cleric (Tempest, Life, or War) will put you in plate + shield. Heck, fighter 3 (champion) is probably worth it for the increased crit range/increased change to roll all those sneak attack dice twice. Full-on conquistador in plate, shield, and rapier.
