Battlefield/Combat Techniques

Fallen Seraph

First Post
Given that 4E seems to be gunning for lots of interplay between different PCs/Classes and their fighting styles and that there be a variety of combat powers, as well as Traps as combat-encounters.

Who else is hoping they will place in either DMG/PHB a easy to follow system for Battlefield/Environmental Techniques and Awareness.

By this is I mean actual simple to follow mechanics for:
-Swinging kick off a chandelier
-Shoving a table/chair at someone's leg
-Diving; under a table, across a hall, under cover
-Using a whip to swing yourself at enemies
-Shoving someone against a wall

Essentially combat tactics that aren't so dependent on your weapons (besides for the above whip example)/personal combat powers, and more about using the environment as a weapon.

It's been stated that the DMG is going to have generic guidelines for handling things like those... not specific rules for each one, but more something that allows the DM to adjust things on the fly.

Oh no, would never suspect everything be done individually. There would be way, way, way too many contingencies to do.

Though, thank you for saying that it has been said there will be some general outlines. I like my combat to be of the variety where by the end of it the whole house is a mess and the party has ended up on the roof if you catch my drift :P
