Message: <blockquote data-quote="wingsandsword" data-source="post: 3343550" data-attributes="member: 14159">Well, you hear about the Geminons, that they are fundamentalists who subscribe to a literal reading of the scriptures, consider minor children the property of their parents, and strictly forbid abortion.  We do have a Gemenon native in the main cast, Galen Tyrol.The Sagitarrons were oppressed and manipulated and abused by the other colonies to the point that they had a fairly strong terrorist movement aimed at improving their status lead by Tom Zarek before the fall of the colonies.  They also have their own denomination of the Colonial faith that apparently strongly frowns on modern medical care and prefers traditional medicines, and apparently they didn't resist the Cylon occupation on New Caprica on religious grounds.We've also heard brief mention that the Taurons have a reputation of being a bit of rogues who do things their way and are known for disregarding orders from above.  Since Admiral Cain was the most notable Tauron native shown on the show, it does fit.Aerelon has had a little mention too.  Tigh is from Aerelon, and the black & white picture in Roslin's office and the Galactica Ready Room of the firefighter on his knees looking at the devastation of the colonies was a picture of Aerelon, a cut scene from 33 explained it was a picture taken on Aerelon right after the attacks.In some of his commentary tracks, RDM says that one reason that they focused on Caprica for the planetary stuff was that since they had a fairly limited area to shoot in up in Canada, they didn't want all 12 colonies to look alike (kind of like how a lot of planets in Star Trek look alike), so instead of imply all the colonies looked like Canada, they just showed one and mention others.</blockquote>
