[BDG] Dawning Star on Temporary Hold Due to Artist Issues

That's nice, but i'm not saying the right people shouldn't be informed, i'm saying that how it was done it isn't 'professional' (how i hate the use of that term). And that without providing proof it becomes a trust or distrust issue, on the internet that's a difficult issue at best (the crap some people dare to pull on the internet is scarry).

And as I stated, the proof -was- there. It's just that you looked after the parties removed it from public view. The proof -was- there, and the proof is available to interested parties who ask for it, but the publisher is not republishing it because he is embarrassed to have published it in the first place.

Have you -asked- Justin off-list to see the proof?

If the publisher hadn't named the artist in question, other publishers working with the artist or considering working with the artist would not have known. How else should he warn the other publishers without actually going public with the information?

Gentlemen (and gentlewomen), the 'damage' is done, i made my point as clear as i could, others have done the same. Continuing this discussion will probably spiral out of control as these things so often seem to, sooner or later (probably sooner) someone will say something that will warant the closing of the tread. I think i have said all i need to say (and probably more then i should) have fun, but without me in this tread.

Well, you know, you have been the catalyst to dragging this thread out to four pages, and I see that in those posts you haven't really seen what everyone else does. I must say, your baiting others and pretending to not see it was amusing at first, but quickly became unbelievable. In the end, you have done many people a great service by helping keep this thread on the first page and thusly notifying other publishers as to this situation. And for that, I thank you, I genuinely do, because you have helped expose Mr Simpson to many more people.

I do not know what motivates people to do these things, but it sadly happens all too often. Thanks to Justin at Blue Devil for pointing this situation out. And hopefully, Gary Simpson will come around and get back into the swing of things. His exposure does not mean he cannot be redeemed. It means his mistake was found out and that he needs to get back on track. As rabid as I am about other publishers being informed when there is an art theft, I also hope that the artist will come around and outdo the work he or she has done before this instance.
