Blackdyrge’s Templates: Greater Half-Dragon

What happens when a truly ancient dragon decides to foster progeny upon ordinary mortal creatures? Would the spawn of such a mighty and powerful beast be just another half-dragon? Blackdirge Publishing answers these questions with a new template that allows you to create more powerful and dynamic half-dragons.

Blackdyrge’s Templates: Classical Beasts & Monsters

This product presents three new templates drawn from classical Greek mythology:
  • Erymanthian – Rampaging beasts fueled by divine wrath and retribution.
  • Nemean - Invulnerable monsters with impenetrable skin and natural attacks that overcome all resistances.
  • Stymphalian – Terrors of the sky with the ability to pierce foes with a hail of metallic feathers.

Master at Arms: Ironwood Archer

The next Master at Arms takes a look at the composite shortbow, and presents a prestige class that takes full advantage of the weapon’s speed and stopping power.

Loved the Lesser Half-Dragon, so I can't wait to get the Greater one as well. Does it include anything for Epic half-dragons (Force, Prismatic) or just the greater age category core dragons?

Thanks.

The Greater Half-Dragon does not specifically cover the epic dragons, although, with a little work, it wouldn't be too difficult to create force and prismatic half-dragons with the template.

I wrote a Superior Half-Dragon template which includes material for half-force and half-prismatic dragons. The starshadow and firmament dragons (also mentioned) are from elsewhere in that same thread, with the rest of the epic dragons mentioned being from the Immortal's Handbook Epic Bestiary Vol. 1.

Blackdirge, my apologies for hijacking your thread! :o

Ooh, had to one-up me with your "Superior" half-dragon template, didntcha Al. :p

Kidding, of course. Kvantum, you should defintely check out Alzrius' template. It's well designed, and covers more than just the epic dragons you mentioned.
