Beastcraft help

First Post
I am working on my beastcraft rules now. Beastcraft covers riding, taming, and combat using animals. I am going to have chase rules, mounted combat rules, etc.
Does anyone know of a good set of rules out there to start with? All I've seen are the basic mounted movement rates in 3.5. I think there should be more about riding longer but not hurting the animal.
These rules should work for everything from mounted melee combat to gunfighters on horseback. Also I want to have chariot rules here as well.

Any ideas?

You also might want to check out Skirmisher's Warriors. It is 3.0 but has three classes (actually two things like a kit and a PrR) that relate to riding/using war animals.
