D&D 3E/3.5 Beating 3.5 Psionics with the nerf bat

The Old Skool psionics of 1e, it was only a weakness to be psionic, if you were "barely" psionic. In other words, it was an argument for not rolling for psionics, because if you didn't roll well, you got your official "toast-on-legs" stamp. If you rolled well, then you might actually have a chance.

All in all, it was rather too digital / on-off.

Dunno. Never got any of the Skills and Powers books. I think they might be on the Core Rules 2 CD-ROM?

But I'm not sure. I haven't gotten out that CD-ROM for years, so it's just sitting in a box in my room. Didn't read much of the rulebooks on the CD when I had it installed on my old computer, but instead was working on preparations for a campaign and my first custom campaign setting at the time.

So for now I have no idea how Skills and Powers dealt with psionics..... But maybe at some point I'll install the Core Rules 2 CD-ROM on my current computer and see if it has any info on the subject.

Nope, but they were in the expanded core rules (a 2nd disc) not the core rules one.

They were the same rules for psionics that were in the revised Dark Sun set though.
