Becoming a fire-based being

How would I become the character described below? I know this character would be a fire elementalist 2ed. I know I want him to have lots of fire based spells and be immune to fire. I might become the character described below via a wish spell or spells.

A large humanoid creature walks in. Though its posture is hunched, he stands at least twelve feet tall. He has a powerful muscular build with a barrel-shaped chest. Running through out his fiery red skin what appears to be veins of molten lava. Smoke rises in curls from the skin. His head which low slung between its shoulders is aflame, though the fire does not burn him, and the fire cascades over a bulge in the back of his skull and down his back down to his elbows. His visage is fearsome to behold. Above his eyes from which intense fire blaze forth from are thick-ridged brows. Beneath his eyes, his face juts forward, making his cheekbones angle to the sides. His jaws are filled with sharp hooked teeth. Intense fire blazes forth from the jaws. In both long pointed ears he wears a silver earring. His hands are wide and monstrous looking, each of his fingers ending in a massive, sharp, iron-grey claw. His tapering tail measures eight feet in length and is dragonlike in appearance. His legs resemble the hind legs of a wolf, with large feet that have three clawed toes on them. In his hands he wields a jagged-edged two-handed sword, its blade dark as night and giving off waves of heat, as if it were an extension of himself.

In the Forgotten Realms: Faiths and Pantheons there is the Elemental Archon PrC. The first abilities aren't really that great but as a capstone you literally become an elemental of your appropriate size. I think you could also do something interesting with Mephit underlings. All you need to qualify is to divinely cast protection from elements, knowledge(nature) 8, be able to speak Ignan(for fire), and some neutral alignment. So you can take at L6.
As for the rest, I mean if you know the LA and Racial HD for it than go ahead. Otherwise may I suggest be a Goliath, you basically consider yourself large short of reach and natural weapon damage without actually being large. +4 str., +2 con., and -2 dex. A druid most certainly would easily qualify for the class and you can replace the animal companion with rage and fast movement for druidic avenger variant.

Note that the OP said he's playing 2nd edition.

I would have to dig deep to find something that would let you "be" that kind of creature.

Was there such a thing as a 3e-style "Geomancer" back in 2e?

I meant that if I was to play 2ed this character would an elementalist (fire). I would like to find a 3.5 version of the elementalist from 2nd edition for my character to be.

You could be a Geometer who casts things like Fire Shield on himself and one of those spells that makes your weapon flaming.

Dragonkin is a large-sized half-dragon-like monstrous humanoid with 7 racial HDs and LA of +2. Quite a playable race at higher level. You may give him a level of some martial class and a level of Sorcerer, then proceed to Abjurant Champion of some other fighter/mage class. Then use Fire Shield constantly.
