Beef with all D20 Publishers

Greetings Ladies and Gents,
I hope I got your attention with the title. As suggested I have a beef with most of the third party publishers. When you publish a source book that explores new classes would it really cost that much more to include an example character write up? After all we have the iconic characters from WOTC for the PHB classes.
Sometimes no matter how often you read the rules you can still be uncertain as to how the author intends for certain abilities and virtual feats to interact, by including an iconic charcter for the class you can then show how "you" the authors and editors intend for your work to be incorporated.

Hey Starwolf,

Check out Librum Equitis volume one (print version) when it comes out (shipping this week to warehouse). It has a detailed sample character which each of the 22 classes.

That is one twonked out character! I assume that you mean there is an example character for each of the 22 classes. Sweet.

Damn!

Now I have to make a character with each of the 23 classes in the book for use as a web-enhancement!

R5p will contain "iconics"

Plans are already in place for our upcoming release Romance of the Five Planets. In addition to "iconics", there will also be characters represetative of characters found in the source novel, Romance of the Three Kingdoms.

Starwolf,
Your wish is our command. Our upcoming project, Races of Evernor (Part I), will include one character write-up for each of the races so that folks have an idea of how each race looks all statted out and equipped. For NPC use, we've also included information on the character's background, motivations, and so forth. So, it should be easy for a player or GM to see how the new races will look in "actual use".

Now see, my personal beef is monsters that are playable as races. I find it incredibly lazy for companies to put the ECL and favored class and not provided the stat bonuses and other important information.

Agreed. I can't tell you how many times I wished I could have rolled up that 8th level troll barbarian, only to find... well nothing. :)

I hope this is just a joke.

You realize that there are rules in the DMG for this? All you need are the stats! Trolls have Str +12, Dex +4, Con +12, Int -4, Wis -2, and Cha -4.
