Been awhile before I took a hand to Mapmaking...

Hello or something, currently: I've been reviving a series of stories I can't seem to keep not inside my head. But that happens to a lot of roleplaying writers I would assume. But anyway, it's been a good year or so since I did my last map (maybe less, but who knows) and although simple I'm liking this new rendition to my Tromania/Sathis series of a certain region. Haha. Originally, the region was much more larger and condensed, it had some illogical rivers and deltas (which I'm working on fixing) with this I seperated the "Thel'los" region with the "Tromania" region which originally were on the same continent. I guess this way the antagonist's blockade of the northern seas makes more practical sense so the protagonist nations can't really run or get help, which is what that plotline is intially about: rising up from a large force, despite small and with lots of despair (or something like that!).

It includes a smaller one of the left and a larger scale on the right. It's still a work in progress, but I was wondering if I could access any tips, advice or hell any comments watsoever. Most of my maps are purely constructed in Macromedia (Adobe now, apparently) Flash Pro. Couldn't really how to bring forests to life on the map so I didn't paint them on there. Mountains were resized several times before I was happy. Heh. Also, yes, I IS NEW GUIZ BE NICE. Haha or something of that sort.

But yeah, what do you guys think at any rate?

Cheers.

Its not too bad. The rivers do need fixing. You should try out the cartographers guild dot com and they will have lots to say about every map posted. Theres a thread on there all about what to do and not to do with rivers - what they call river violations ;) because they come up so often they have river police now :D

I think your confusing rivers with territorial borders. The only rivers I made were the ones in the Dracori Marsh, really. But thanks for the input. Come to think of it, that former map is only of Tromania. So I don't know where you got the rivers concept from!
