Beowulf and Bond

Well, I didn't like it nearly as well as Casino Royale. And I didn't like the tendency to slip into typical Bondisms. But I did like it a whole lot better than Beowulf.

Maybe my favorable review was to an extent simply relief of seeing something much better following that travesty.

Interesting that you like Quantum of Solace. For my money it was one of the worst Bond films I've seen in recent years (not as atrocious as Tomorrow Never Dies, of course).

I just watched it last night and I liked it. One of the worst? Have you never seen Die Another Die? Oy, now there was a bad Bond film. Utterly preposterous especially
the North Korean big bad that goes to Cuba to turn himself into a Brit: WTF!?!
.

I didn't see Casino Royale, and apparently this movie is supposed to be a sequel, so that explains some of the stuff I didn't quite get in the plot. But otherwise, I liked the more serious and realistic tone this movie took. Better than some of those really goofy Bond movies from the 70's.

And Fields was yummy. Damn bad guys.
