besm d20 - ongoing D&D campaign?

Has anyone here incorporated the besm d20 system into the standard D&D campaign? Or perhaps left the standard behind entirely in favor of besm d20?

The rule book de- and re-constructs the basic D&D classes in a besm perspective with teensy adjustments. Because those tweaks aren't major overhauls, I'd think it would be pretty easy to bring the two versions together into one campaign and open the way for more (besm) classes and effects. ... Just because the book was written with anime in mind doesn't mean the actual game has to play out that way.

In my experience, you CAN utilize the BESM d20 stuff with regular D&D, but you better keep in mind the power levels. A BESM d20 character can, with very little tweaking, totally blow a normal D&D character out of the water when it comes to the things they can do. Take, for example, the Attributes. The book gives the option to swap XP for CP [1 CP / (100 x current character level) XP]. Considering that the "Enhanced [Ability]" Attribute costs only 1 CP per rank, you can basically increase the stat of your choice by 2 points for the low, low cost of (100 x current character level) XP. Let this sink in...

1/10 of a level = +2 to the stat of your choice.

Stay at 1st level, spend all of your XP on stat boosts, and viola! Instant godling!

Basically, IF you choose to use the BESM d20 stuff, make sure to tweak the rest of the world accordingly (especially the monsters).
