Probably for the best. I think this thread was at odds with itself, in that you wanted advice initially with the idea that you were a blaster but in actual gameplay needed to be much more.

And as being the only arcane cater I needed to try and get the best of the best as it was.
 

just to keep you updated

I talked to my DM and I took out Improved counterspell and put in energy substitution Cold. I'm 10k from level 12 and I'll get a new feat then.. any suggestions?

remember I have to be as much of a generalist as I can.

If you have a cleric or druid, teleport's not as urgent; Wind Walk works pretty well for covering lots of ground quickly and scry-buff-attack (so does Shadow Walk, but if you had a Bard or a Wizard, you wouldn't need any utility spells from a blaster sorcerer).

You have plenty attack spells. I would probably get Greater Blink. Nice defensive spell and useful for getting around obstacles as well.

When you get another 4th-level spell, maybe Dimension Door would be a good idea.

I would drop Protection from Arrows soon and learn something more useful instead, like False Life (great for a sorcerer) or Mirror Image or Glitterdust or See Invisibility.

Some other nice spells include Dimension Hop, Command Undead, Rope Trick, Suggestion, Dragonskin, Slow, (Tirumael's) Energy Spheres (esp. nice with Energy Substitution)... there are plenty more, of course.

What other spells am I missing? Is there anything i overlooked?
Also I never wanted to min/max, so here are my feats:
Scribe Scroll, Craft Wand, Improved Counterspell (Which I never used), Summon Familiar

You should invest in some Metamagic Feats, they are quite nice for sorcerers. :)

Empower Spell is a good one for you.

Heighten Spell is nice to have, once you have a few spells, that rely on the target's not making their save (i.e. Glitterdust or Slow).

I've found that, if the DM allows them, the Sudden metamagic feats from the Complete books are great for blast-'em-up Sorcerers. My Sorcerer's got Sudden Widen, Sudden Maximize and Sudden Empower. Those feats have saved the day more than once.

Bloody hell, I've just written here that I've never seend the Widen Spell feat taken, and you've got it. Would you care to comment in the thread to which I've linked?

pBartender is talking about Sudden Widen (which effectively ignores the LA) rather than Widen, which probably affected the utility of the spell from his point of view.
