Well, in particular question the OP was talking about a PRC ability that expressly lets you learn a divination spell from any spell list, hence the divine spell suggestions.

Heh, and frankly, if you're a specialist diviner you'd be well served by researching arcane versions of those two spells anyway.

They're both superb information gathering tools, and when information is your business it kind of behooves you to get 'em one way or another.

What other classes do you have in the group? Both commune and commune with nature are good. It might be a good idea to pick whichever spell your group doesn't have access to.

If you're a wizard, then avoiding spells on your normal list seems like a easy call.

Other casters include, Wizard and a Cleric. Thier Druid was replaced with the Crusader/Rogue when Blarg wanted to change characters. Thinking that Commune with Nature is the one spell that they don't have access to.
