Which is why I added Heavy Armor mastery and mage slayer in the mix. </p><p>Neither of them are low impact. If you calculate it, HAM reduces a lot of damage from lesser foes. It adds up very fast. Mage slayer allows you to just succeed on a Wis (or Int or Cha) save and helps breaking constitution. So I don't consider them inconsequential. </p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p>So my ideal setup would be:</p><p>GWM, Mage Slayer, HAM.</p><p></p><p>I would also have high strength, mediocre dex and con and a bit of wisdom. </p><p></p><p>17/14/14/8/12/10.</p><p></p><p>Background feat would be lucky if I can chose.
