Best D&D "Aliens?"

Just thought of another source for 'Aliens'.

Anyone remember Arduin? They had one with a monster known as a Rypley, named after the only adventurer to ever escape one. Had a d30 for a bite attack!

True, I had forgotten that. But that's just barely a distinctive name, isn't it?

When I first read the name of the thread I thought - spellweavers, those are the perfect alien invaders! Weird inscrutable sixarmed bigeyed aliens! But that's an entirely different kind of alien.

The Zerg are Xenomorphs as well, and I prefer them to Tyranids and such. If only I had some 3.5e stats for them.

When I read the title, I was thinking Mind Flayers. Tentacle faces who eat brains, what better "alien" race?

Thanks for the help. I think I'll be making a sealed dungeon with a trapped kython nest inside. A forbiddence spell and a magically locked door will just make the players all the more eager to open it up and go inside. :]

Way back in 2E days, I ran a brief but memorable Spelljammer campaign. I didn't really like the spider thing bad guys (don't recall the name), so I used both Predator and Aliens, making up stats for both. Luckily, at the same time, some now-defunct company made an Aliens game complete with minis, so I got a bunch of them (including a big Queen) just in time for the campaign....

In a different genre, both illithids and beholders are D&D aliens.

To a certain perspective though, that's just a fancy way of saying Alien as it means something with a "foreign shape" (xeno=foreign, morph=shape).

The spider-thingies were the Neogi.

The totem hunter in the Monsternomicon is loosely based on the predator. As for my favorite predator like D&D critter- the sync from Minions.
