I just use Calibre to hold everything.

I'd love an AI like assistant to help me organise and sort through my documents.

Their example is searching for *.exe in a folder.

Windows does that? Is that their best example of capabilities?

Everything has an index of the files. The search results are instantaneous. Windows takes quite a bit of time.
