Best Dremel Tool

Wish that I could but I'm down with pneumonia again...

I would highly suggest taking The UNiverse out and let him take a look at them to see which one he is going to like. A tool like this isnt something you want to buy and surprise them with. He's going to be using it as much as possible so having one that fits his hand and his needs outways anything from the surprise factor anyway. I know... I'm a partypooper.. but I hate surprises *grins*

It's variable speed so it's very versatile. If you are going to be doing a lot of pinning, invest in some (or a lot) of bits. The small ones get dull very fast. Trying to drill with a dull bit is not fun.

I've sarted dipping the tips of my drilbits into vasaline before I drill anything metal. It does seem to preserve the bit sharpness a lot longer than without it. you do have to be caeful not to let it gum up with the shavings... I did break a few of the smaller bits this way...
