Best LA +0 Races

Hey:

I want to get a handle on what we have for best LA +0 +str races.

I also want a race withOUT a cha penalty, if humanly possible. I want to make a crazy fun Barbarian, and I want to be a "Leader of the tribe" type, so I'd prefer to avoid the terrible cha penalties so many high str races have.

I can think of Half-Orc for +str race, and thats just about it. There must be many many more. Right?

Wild-Elf? What else?

Of course not. I'm considering a Barbarian/Frenzied Berserker for another game, and I want to have a ridiculous strength and still be la +0 =)

Can't offer you a high Str but Ratmen races (mostly common ones) have a Con bonus of +6 and +4 Dex.

Wood elves (MM 104) have +2 Str, +2 Dex, -2 Con and -2 Int, plus all the other bonuses elves get, and they're even from a core rulebook.

Isnt it Wild-Elves with the quoted stats, Lorehead, and Wood-Elves with +4 Dex, -2 con -2 int?

Wild elves get +2 dex, -2 int and no adjustment to con

Good old plain ORC. Half orc is for sissy pansy orc wannabes.

Well, you'll have to put up with the Cha penalty, but for my GP Deep Dwarves are mechanically the strongest ECL 0 race printed in a WotC supplement (in this case, the Monster Manual).

All the standard dwarven goodness but better save bonuses (+3 instead of +2) and a Darkvision upgrade to 90' for the low, low, cost of the Light Sensitivity flaw.

But dont Deep Dwarves have no str bonus at all?

If all I wanted was the most powerful race, I'd go human. They are clearly the best race, with +1 feat and +4 skill points at 1st and +1 skill point every level after.
