D&D 5E (2014) best non-LMoP campaign for new players

I'm setting up Princes of the Apocalypse for a summer campaign. I have the free supplement for levels 1-5 and may buy the book if they get that far and need it. I seem to be adding a few more encounters to places and most likely will design magic weapons for each PC at lower level than normal.
