Best of Dragon, How about ? ...

First Post
Naturally I come up with this question when everyone around here is off the Gen con, but I just had a great thought / question.

This is specifically aimed towards Eric Mona, but I'll post it to the general boards, as I'm certain people would have other compilation ideas.

There's been lots of discussion about people wanting more Greyhawk material, and now we have Dragon doing a best of Hardcover. So why not do an all Greyhawk best of Hardcover. It would be a great resource for people who wanted a whole slew of info in one place. I realize it's probably just a pipe dream but I'ld love to have all the old articles by Gygax, compiled along with more recent info and all updated to 3.5

I'm not sure there are enough people who would like to see that. On the other hand, including a bunch of GH articles in a Best of Dragon compilation is a much better move, as both GH fans and non-GH fans will be buying that product.

I'm positive there's a large enough audience for something like this. And not just for Greyhawk, mind you, but that segment of fandom has certainly proven it can impact the sales of the magazines.

If the Shackled City and Dragon Compendium books do well, you can bet we'll strongly consider a project like this. It isn't as if we haven't thought of it before. :)

I think a hardcover "Best of the Hawk", incorporating the best Greyhawk articles and scenarios from Dungeon and Dragon, would sell like gangbusters.

It sounds like the best way to make such a book happen is to buy (and help sell) the first two hardcovers. They shouldn't be a tough sell (especially if the second looks as good as -- and is as packed -- the first).

I definately agree. Im actually going to order another SC anyway for my collection. The first is being used currently.

I wonder if there has been any thought in doing a monthly article that would do for Greyhawk what Voyage of the Princess Ark did for Mystara. If it was of a similar quality, that'd be something that would get me to buy Dragon on a monthly basis rather than just an issue here and there.
