Best of Ennies book

Well, it wouldn't SELL, that's for sure...

For the record, I thought the FFG anthology was a great idea, BUT it is just collecting dust on the LGS shelves in my area. Price = Perception of value, and most of the time this is true. Also that book lacked focus, so it was not attractive in that way either.

Really? I thought it was a great idea, too. I even bought one. For $4.95, I figured that it would've flown off the shelves. But then, I live in the middle of nowhere, with the closest FGS with a decent selection being over an hour away and charging full retail. A sampling of FFG stuff is good for me, because:
a) IMO, FFG stuff is usually good
b) I don't have to find time to go to the FGS
c) I can find what I want, and then buy it from somewhere like FRPGames and get a 20% discount (if I decide to buy something after seeing it in the FGS, I'll buy it from the FGS and consider the price difference the charge for seeing it).
d) Even if I'm not interested in a full book on a subject, I get a small, varied sampling that can be useful. So it's not just a ad, it's a mini-sourcebook. For example, I'm planning to use the eleti from the Mythic Races excerpt, even though I'm not interested in an entire book on races.

I have to admit, though, that it only influenced one purchase (Monster's Handbook), and it just helped nudge me over the fence on that one. The other features I either already had, or wasn't interested in buying the whole book. It was a good sampling, though. A good showcase of the Legends & Lairs line.

Another way to market it would to call it a "Best of..." collection and give a little more space to each feature. I was (and still am) extremely happy with my purchase of the Mastercraft Anthology. If FFG does another one for their later books, I know I'll buy it. And honestly, if they bumped up the page count a little bit, I'd be willing pay 2-3x what they charged for the first one (which I imagine they took a loss on, and charged it to marketing).

To bring this back on track, if there was a "Best of the Ennies" or an "Ennie Anthology" or somesuch book, I'd likely buy it, for the same reasons I bought the Mastercraft Anthology. I guess the question is, though, "would anyone else?"
