Best of Necromancer?

How is the Wurst of Grimtooth's Traps? I always wanted to check out the originals, I don't remember seeing much discussion of Necromancer's update.

How about this? My kids, all 3 of them, read it, and get very scared when they see me using it for their adventures.

Plus they talk about Grimtooth and Grimtina a lot.

So I like it better than either Traps and Treachery book for these reasons. Even though I personally like Traps and Treachery I the best.

My three favorites are Crucible of Freya, Tomb of Abysthor, and Grey Citadel. I have Bard's gate but haven't done more then skim it yet. I also didn't like the Lost City and ended up trading it. I'm looking forward to the expansion/follow on to the Grey Citadel.

Ditto for Aberrations.

I'm considering using these with Ptolus, but a big overland wilderness trek for each really would lessen their drop-in utility for me.

Aberrations is almost like a Call of Cthulhu adventure. It's sort of a multi-part adventure set in an isolated valley/area. Two parts are undgroun (in a mine and in a caverns), but part is exploring the wilderness area and the last part is set in a mansion. I'm not sure it would work very well in Ptolus.

Hmm. The wilderness only sounds like a really big issue. Still, I could just set it near Ptolus, I suppose.

Cthulhoid stuff works very well with Ptolus.

*doesn't have Aberrations either* But I do agree with Tree's assessment on Tomb. Very easy to use with Ptolus, especially since both it and Bard's Gate are comparable in size and shape. While Bard's Gate lacks a large underground, it does have a thriving night life/numerous activities. Considering that aspect, having Ptolus instead of Bard's Gate is easy enough to do with Tomb.
