Draconomicon is fantastic. One of the best books WotC has put out in years.
Complete Warrior is very solid, especially if you don't already own Sword & Fist etc.
Complete Divine is just sloppy - not recommended - hope they reprint it with errata.
A Dragon magazine subscription would be a great gift.
Maybe a bunch of D&D minis? Those are rather pricey, but quite nice, and make a great gift -- I can never justify buying them for myself, but receiving them as a gift would be great.
