D&D 5E Best one shot 5e adventures?

It depends on what you're looking for!

If you want a mystery adventure, you could try the Ghost and the Peddler on DriveThruRPG (it's free). I like it but I'm biased.

If you feel in a helping mood, I'm looking for a couple of people to playtest a site-based mystery I'm working on for the DM's Guild. If you're interested, let me know and I'll PM a link so you can download it. It's a 2nd level adventure though.

I've been looking for a short module to run as a PBP game - so I picked this up. Reading through it now, and it looks like it could be a bit a fun!

Ran Troll Trouble from dmsguild this past Monday, group had a good time. Next up Shadows on the Long Road (also from dmsguild).
If memory serves they were both free, I don't think I've actually spent $ yet.

Adlib something, and use the optional Plot Points rule in the DMG (p 269). Since it's a one-shot adventure, I'd probably have everyone start with a few plot points, or maybe have plot points "recharge" after a short rest or something.
