WOIN Bestiary: What is POW good for?

Hi, I'm new. I may lack some general understanding of how MAG/PSI is used, because quite a lot of creatures in the Bestiary have a POW score, yet no corresponding skills listed. For example a Hydra, what does it even do with its 4d6 POW pool?

POW is the same as MAG/PSI/CHI. It would be unusual for a hydra to use it as it has no magical abilities to leverage it with, but the POW score represents its latent magical power. There might be a rare occasion where the GM calls for an opposed POW check or something. The hydra probably wouldn’t use its LOG score much either.

Sorry I wasn't clear, I knew that POW is the generic term for MAG/PSI/CHI. I realized shortly after posting, that my question sounded dumber than I meant it xD
