We are very very different kinds of gamers. That’s fine, but you might as well be a martian.

150 damage in one hit? I’ve never seen that kind of output in D&D ever. I wouldn’t have fun playing that kind of game, but to each their own.
well, I believe that powergamers and optimizer should be only one to stress test the game.

We can have heavy combat group or heavy roleplay group or some kind of mix in between, but in any situation, I want the numbers behind the game design to work.
and in order to work, game needs to be broken 1st in order to be repaired.

so we do not get another twilight cleric,
but also to watch out not to over correct as 2024 paladin smite nerf.

Not bad. I love bringing exhaustion into this. Exhaustion on strike (no saving throw), with tiers of drain... by this I mean +1 drain caps it off at 1 exhaustion, +3 caps it off at 3 levels exhaustion, all the way up to a max drain +6 lethal. The only thing I hate with that is how it could be more punishing to martials again... but DM dependent. I have used this on an NPC weapon and it works very nicely on the VTT. It also completely changes the party functional dynamic after these encounters since exhaustion is a sticky condition
