Bigger Stirge and Minotaur Hordes Delay the Remorhaz

I'm happy to say that our first two Horde Books have gone to press! They’re bigger than we expected—A Swarm of Stirges weighs in at 54 pages, topped by Maze of the Minotaur’s 60 pages—but we haven't changed the price. $12 still gets you the perfectbound limited edition (numbered and signed by the authors) as well as the hyperlinked PDF. We cut it close, but our printer reassures us that we'll have books in our hands in time for Gen Con Indy.

Bigger books take more time to produce, and so we decided to wait on releasing Horde Book 3: Rage of the Remorhaz rather than rush it into press too soon. Its author, Nat Sims, is also our layout and design guru, and we didn't want those duties to deprive him of the chance to go the extra mile with his book the way Brian and I did with ours. It's now part of our product schedule for Gen Con SoCal, along with Horde Book 4: Offal Pits and Otyughs.

It's never good for any company to miss a release date, especially the first time out of the gate, but we decided it was even worse to ship a product that's not everything it has the potential to be. We're all extremely proud of the two Hordes that went to print today, and we're confident that the Remorhaz Horde will benefit so much from the extra time that folks will forget it's late!
