Bill Slavicsek on the D&D revision and the SRD

Steve Creech (of the d20 Magazine Rack) just posted this to the OGF list:

"We will update and revise the SRD to reflect the revision. The revised SRD will be made available at the time of publication, just as we did with the d20 Modern SRD." - Bill Slavicsek

Apparently Mr Slavicsek posted it on an email discussion list used by industry pros and publishers that Steve receives. Ed Stark confirmed what Bill posted.

Cheers!

Good to hear..now folks maybe won't be so "scared"...they can get the revisions on-line in the revised SRD (for really cheap, I might add! :D )

Oh, whilst I believe the news, still take it with a pinch of salt.

It's still "someone I know told me that someone else said..." until an official announcement is made.

Ed Stark didn't confirm on the OGF list, additionally - on the list Steve was reading, I think.

Cheers!

Well, I wasn't going to post that announcement, since I didn't know if we were allowed to spread it outside the industry mailing list. But since it's now been posted, I'll confirm that's indeed what Bill said. It was in response to a question I asked on the list.

So you can believe it, at least as far that really is what Bill wrote; I saw the original myself.

Well if Bill says it will be so, no problems here by me. :) I just hope this means there will be MORE stuff from say MotP and other books. (Splat books I could care less about.)

Well, any issues I had just evaporated then...I can just grab the SRD for updates and thus not feel forced into upgrading to 3.1.

I think it extremely likely that a free conversion pdf document will be produced - either by WotC themselves or some other kind individual, so that you don't have to wade through the SRD to find the material you need.

Cheers!
